Dreams

Had a dream with 2 people inside and it involved a lot of running. Dreams these days tend to include people I know and running or getting lost or finding my way somewhere. Like really, to my unconsciousness, you don't sayyyy. Or rather dream (rolls eyes). So the dream that I had kinda inspired me to write something, don't expect too much, I tried :') Here it goes

--

It was almost midnight. Occasionally a lone vehicle whizzes by on an almost deserted road. Escaping, was what the duo was doing. They had to avoid the snapping cameras of two female stalkers. There Z was, observing the peculiar scene that could become dangerous at any moment. "Hey!" she shouted at the duo, wanting them to stop the risky act.

Suddenly, one of them turned and dashed towards her. Grabbing her wrist and pulling her out of the way of an approaching car. In the midst of ensuring their safety, Z forgot about hers.

"Okay okay, let's go!" A gushed to no one in particular. The second of the duo, B rushed after them, but not before glancing at A's grip that remained on Z's wrist. Z peeked at A's face. Anxious was an understatement, fear was more of an accurate description. Twisting slightly out of his grip, she took his hand in hers and began massaging his hand. He smiled thankfully at her as his expressions soften. The trio continued on.

They tumbled into a dimly lit alley filled with abandoned pieces of furniture. Oddly enough, huge malicious looking crows were screeching and circling in the sky above them. Gradually more and more crows landed and stalked towards them. A broke off from them, dodging the crows and disappeared towards the other end of the alley. It was even darker with no sign of streetlights but it was seemingly their only escape. "Over here!" he shouted from the darkness and dashed off before them.

"Come, follow me." B reached out and gingerly held her hand. In the semi-darkness, she heard a sharp take of breath before she was pulled along. Her heart pounded even harder than before. Not from running, but from the boy's warm gentle grip between her fingers. Further and further into the alley they went. Loud human bellows and heavy footsteps echoed from behind them, nevertheless neither of them stopped to look back.

Finally, they saw A standing ahead. A phone was pressed against his ear as he chattered rapidly, "Yes, they're after us! Quick, leave the door open for us!"

A gestured widely towards them and frantically stumbled down a flight of spiral stairs that curiously appeared from the right. Down and down they went, it was at least several storeys deep before they reached the end of the stairs to face a door. Gasping for air, A pushed through the heavy metallic door. He hurried the other two in before turning the bolt tight to seal the door. The trio crumpled onto the floor, exhausted from the running.

At the far end of the room, a bespectacled middle aged man swirled himself calmly from his screen of computers. "Now, what do we have here?"

Okayyyy, that's it. How crappy for it was inspired by a dream. In which I don't know how to link it well and just wrote whatever that came to mind (laugh-cries). I think it's the longest scene I've written and with the least description to support the scene.
